Louis A. Valori, Jr., Ed.D

Principal owner of the Valori Group, Dr. Louis Valori is a decorated, retired 28-year U.S. Army Reserves Veteran with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel Military Police and Detective Sergeant with 25 years of diverse Law Enforcement experience in Morris County, NJ. He has also served as an elected municipal government official in Parsippany-Troy Hills since 2008. Dr. Valori not only has his Doctorate in Education (Doctoral Dissertation: Effects of Accreditation of the Office of the Sheriff on Complaints by Citizens) and extensive specialty military training but was also officially awarded CALEA (Commission on Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies) within the Parsippany-Troy Hills Police Department.

Professional Biography

Dr. Louis Valori is the principal owner of the Valori Group. Lou is a retired Detective Sergeant, with 25 years of Law Enforcement experience in Morris County, New Jersey – 5 years within the Morris County Sheriffs Department and 20 years in Parsippany Troy Hills Police Department.

During the course of his career he served in the Investigative Division, Patrol Division, Planning and Research Division and the Internal Affairs Unit. His additional duties were Hazardous Material Officer, Environmental Investigator, Radiological Officer, DARE Officer and Crime Prevention Officer. Lou has received multiple Law Enforcement Awards.

Dr. Valori served in the United States Army Reserves from 1984 to 2011. He enlisted in the Army as Private trained as a Cavalry Scout. Lou advanced thru the ranks of leadership positions and training attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel Military Police.

Dr. Valori previously served as an elected official in Parsippany Troy Hills as Council President and Councilmen from 2014 thru 2018.

Lou served as a Commissioner for the Morris County Park Commission from 2015 to 2018.

He also served as the Council Liaison to the Parsippany Troy Hills Planning Board from 2014 thru 2016.
